The Myth of Lightning and Rain: An Australian Journey All: Balance is key, for all to see. Respect the Earth, let it be free. 
 With wisdom strong, we'll walk the land, and live in peace, hand in hand. 
 The story is about our journey to find the Lightning Man and to restore balance to the land. Narrator 1: Once upon a time, in the far north of Australia, there were two boys, Jarra and Jandamarra. Narrator 2: Every year, the Wet Season came, bringing dark clouds (All: Look! The sky is so dark!), heavy rain (All: Run, Run, it's flooding!) and terrifying lightning (All: Oh no, not again!). Village Chief: The lightning is horrifying. Our people and animals are in great danger. What can we do? All: What can we do? Jarra: Where does the lightning come from? I want to know. Jandamarra: And why does it seem so angry? Narrator 1: The boys asked Village Chief. Village Chief: There is a powerful man Namarrgon. People called him the lightning man. Namarrgon I control the lightning and storms. Village Chief: Then, there is a Rainbow Serpent. He brings water to the land. All: Lightning strikes, the rain will pour.Serpent moves, and life restores! Jarra: Let's find Namarrgon! Let's ask him to not make the storms so harsh! Jandamarra: But what if he refuses and harms us? Or worse! Jarra: We must try. The storms are getting worse and worse every year. Narrator 1: So, they set out on a journey with courage and grit. All: Courage and grit
